The Shenandoah University Admissions team wanted to create a yield marketing piece that was eye-catching for students who submitted their enrollment deposit. Their idea was to “Customize Your Buzzy to Fit You!” – giving each student a Buzzy mascot sticker they could “dress up” with fun stickers. They partnered with Magellan to create a unique sticker postcard that included Buzzy the mascot plus more than 20 sticker items for Buzzy to wear and hold, including a Shenandoah t-shirt, crocs and a foam finger! The sticker postcard also included a QR code on the back so students could move forward with the next steps to becoming a Hornet.
Alyssa Adriansen, Magellan’s Director of Accounts, said she worked closely with production to get the stickers just right, switching to a clear sticker sheet so there wasn’t a white outline when items were placed on Buzzy. “This is an area where our sticker expertise shines through – helping find the right solution for our client so the end result is exactly what they were hoping for!”
Marissa Giauque, Senior Coordinator for Admissions Electronic Media at Shenandoah, said the team loved how the stickers turned out and everyone had fun creating their own Buzzy!
